President's Welcome

King’s: Bigger on the Inside

In the Chronicles of Narnia the children in the story discover a very unusual building. On the outside it looks like a rather small, ordinary-looking stable. But when the children open the door and go inside, they discover an amazing quality – it is much bigger on the inside than on the outside!

Bigger on the inside – that’s a great description of The King's University College.

At first glance, King’s may look like an “ordinary” small university. Here you’ll find professors who know a lot about their field of study and love to talk about it. You’ll find people busy doing research: exploring ideas, doing experiments, and thinking critically about social issues. Like any university, at King’s you’ll hear and see first-rate music and art. You’ll get a university education that excels in standards of quality.

But the King’s experience is bigger on the inside. Our mission statement says that The King's University College exists to provide university education that inspires and equips learners to bring renewal and reconciliation to every walk of life as followers of Jesus Christ, the Servant-King. King’s isn’t out just to equip you for success in society; King’s is out to equip you to be ambassadors of reconciliation, people with a heart for God’s project of making all things new. This big, bold and hopeful vision sets King’s apart from any “ordinary” university.

At King’s we keep our eyes on the big picture. We delight in exploring a wide variety of areas of learning, and the connections between them. King’s is a learning community that values and cares for its members as real people with real names. At King’s you’ll be treated with respect, and our smaller class sizes mean that you’ll get to know your professors and classmates on a personal level. Our student development professionals and out-of-class programs help make King’s a lively and dynamic learning environment.

A King’s education will open new doors to wherever your life and career take you. All our professors are experts in their field. King’s degrees are fully accredited and allow you to go on to graduate school, professional programs, or you chosen vocational path.

King’s offers a supportive community where you can develop your gifts, ask hard questions, and explore your life’s calling in today’s dynamic and challenging world. We offer quality university education inspired by a Christian worldview and core values such as creation care, and compassion for our neighbors locally and globally.

The King's University College will enlarge your world – and help you become bigger on the inside.
